While the transfer process for some antenna models from Kathrein Rosenheim to the Schomandl factory in Büdelsdorf is still in process, we have been able to announce our first shipment – on schedule! Schomandl’s headquarter is in Zorneding close to Munich and to Munich’s international Airport, but the production facility has been set up in North Germany, close to the Danish border in Büdelsdorf, Schleswig-Holstein. From there, Schomandl portfolio is shipped to our customers worldwide.
It was most important for Schomandl’s CEO Wolfgang Schnoor, that the antennas produced in the new factory are maintaining the legendary quality customers are used to: “Our new antenna product line, which we have acquired from Kathrein, is unique in quality and performance. We are proud, that together with our motivated employees we are now able to make these products available to our new customers meeting their high expectations.” |

Whenever Schomandl’s production workers are looking out of the window, they see a huge construction site. Says Thomas Blunk, Production Manager in the Büdelsdorf plant: “After setting up the warehouse and the production for more than 30 different antenna models, space has become an issue! Therefore we now have decided to invest in a new production hall just opposite our current building, which will be finished in a few weeks. We will also extend our warehouse there. After that, we will have a much better situation regarding space. And we expect a much faster production and shipment process, resulting in a better performance for our customers.”
